Impressionist Seascape
This custom oil painting was commissioned by a client with fond memories of the sea. This piece is an expressive, layered seascape created in the Impressionist style using professional-grade oil paints. Achieving depth and fullness was a key challenge in this work. The painting was built up through multiple layers, each one carefully planned and applied to capture the movement of waves, light, and sky. The palette was tested extensively to strike the right balance between bold, warm tones and cooler, reflective hues, evoking both the power and serenity of the ocean.
From early color swatches and underpainting to the final impasto strokes, this project is a reflection of patience, process, and personal storytelling through art.
